Brutti Compadres, Platos Pequenos (ugly mates, small plates)

Nestled in a small, secretive courtyard in the historical area of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Brutti Compadres is built on the site of the original tobacco exchange.

Our cafe bar serves all day food, continental draught lagers, decent wines and fine italian coffee. We aim to provide our customers with tasty small plates of mediteranean holiday style flavours. The menu changes seasonally and we also offer daily specials from our open plan kitchen. All this served to you by naturally friendly, helpful staff in our soft industrial, mediteranean style cafe bar.

Eat at our long dining bar, choose your favourite table or enjoy the outside terrace, weather permitting. Bookings for large groups and special occasions can be accommodated.

Food and drink at Brutti Compadres is inspired from great tastes we have found while holidaying or on business in European and Mediterranean cities and shores. Both are simple and flavoursome, not pretentious and very moreish.

From our petite ‘brutti breads’ (skinny small pizza), great soups and sandwiches to tapas style dishes such as fish stews, black pudding croquettes, squid in its own ink and much more. Check out our food menu from the links below.

SELECTED DRINKS

We have bottled and draught lagers to wash down our nice flavours, including Estrella Damm, Peroni and Reigler. Like our lagers, our wines are chosen from different countries.

Our easy to drink wines include a french merlot - rounded and easy, a lightly frizzante verde from Portugal - great with lunch, and a wonderful pinot with a twist. Most of our wines are served by the glass with some a wee bit more special by the bottle. Try the fantastic brut robust bubble cava Parxet 21 by glass or bottle or why not have a bottle of a very special gentle bubble proseco? We also have Veuve Cliquot champagne at Brutti Compadres.
